Dec. 15, 1924 – Boston Wonder Workers announce stadium expansion

The Boston Wonder Workers planned to expand seating at the Walpole St. Grounds, their home from 1924-29. The stadium, built as a baseball park, occupied land owned by the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, now on the campus of Northeastern University. Frank Dell'Apa

Frank Dell’Apa began covering soccer in the days of the original NASL. He was the Boston Globe’s soccer columnist for nearly 23 years before being recruited to work for a start-up television network in Miami. In late 2014, he returned to Boston, where he is based as a freelance journalist. Dell’Apa has covered seven World Cups, MLS since the league started, and continues to be involved with the NASL as part of a New York Cosmos Podcast.
