Wolde Harris’ 50th-minute goal deflected off current New England Revolution assistant coach Tom Soehn to give the Revolution their first MLS playoff advantage. He was the Boston Globe’s soccer columnist for nearly 23 years before being recruited to work for a start-up television network in Miami. In late 2014, he returned to Boston, where he is based as a freelance journalist.
