Former Dartmouth College football star Bill Cunningham named president of American Soccer League. League also adds a new team: “… an all-Jewish team, to be known as the Hakoah of New York, is being organized by Nat Agar, formerly of the Brooklyn Wanderers. Frank Dell'Apa

Frank Dell’Apa began covering soccer in the days of the original NASL. He was the Boston Globe’s soccer columnist for nearly 23 years before being recruited to work for a start-up television network in Miami. In late 2014, he returned to Boston, where he is based as a freelance journalist. Dell’Apa has covered seven World Cups, MLS since the league started, and continues to be involved with the NASL as part of a New York Cosmos Podcast.
