Fall River Rovers’ loss to the Pan-Americans was their first of the 1916-17 soccer season. Jan. 1, 1921 – Hendee Indians 5:1 Abbot Worsted, State Cup semifinals at Fore River Shipyard field, Quincy, Mass.

The Boston Soccer Social Club announced a dance at Sir Walter Scott Hall, Caledonian Building (corner of Appleton and Berkeley streets). The Boston Soccer Social Club was comprised of Boston SC Wonder Workers supporters.

Dec. 29, 1923 – Fore River 7:0 Brookline at Commonwealth Avenue Armory

John Renfrew hat trick for the Fore River Shipyard team before the “biggest indoor season crowd,” at the Commonwealth Avenue Armory, according to the Boston Globe. Full-field indoor soccer matches were staged at the Armory from 1922-25.

“Ford” scored both goals and 17-year-old Tommy “Whitey” Fleming (listed at right outside forward) played one of his first matches for Fore River.

Bert Patenaude, probably the most dynamic U.S.-born goal-scorer ever, converted once and earned an 85th-minute penalty. Johnny Slavin (ex-Raith Rovers, Hearts) scored the deciding penalty kick after Patenaude was “tripped by Rebello six minutes from the end.”
