Steve Staunton’s 39th-minute “Olimpico” opened the scoring in Ireland’s only win in six games (1W-2L-3D) in Foxborough.

June 6, 2014 – Portugal 1:0 Mexico at Gillette Stadium (Att.: 56,292)

The seventh-largest crowd for a soccer match in Foxborough arrived for a Portugal-Mexico World Cup warmup match, despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo. Bruno Alves finished a Joao Moutinho free kick in the 93rd minute as the Portuguese won for the first time in three matches in Foxborough. Mexico has a 0W-2L-1D record in Foxborough.
