The Revolution moved within a game of advancing to the MLS Cup final for the first time since 2007. Teal Bunbury opened the scoring and Jermaine Jones converted with a spectacular late-game run to provide what turned out to be the deciding goal in the series.

Nov. 23, 1929 – Boston Wonder Workers 1:0 Hakoah, Brookline Town Field

“Boston’s pro soccer representatives shut out the great Hakoah aggregation of Jewish players, holders of the big National Cup, by 1-0, on a snow-bound ground.” (The Boston Globe)

Goal: Stevenson. Note: Boston’s Johnny Davison saved Gruenfeld penalty kick.

Nov. 23, 1926 – New Bedford FC owner David H. Pomfret announces signing of Charles Emerson (Albion Rovers), Michael Mitchell (Notts County), Patrick Muldownie (Glasgow Celtic). CF Harold P. Brittan sold to Providence.
