The New England Revolution combined post-Hurricane Katrina work with preseason training in New Orleans in 2007.Coaches Steve Nicol, Paul Mariner and Gwynne Williams and players worked with the St. Bernard Project to rehab houses, and the team also participated in clinics with youngsters. The trip included a 3-1 victory over CD Olimpia, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin making an appearance and the Honduran community arriving in force for the game.

Adam Cristman scored twice and Andy Dorman added one goal for the Revolution. Pat Noonan (injury) and Taylor Twellman (U.S. national team duty) missed the game.
