Post by

Foxboro Stadium was evacuated and kickoff delayed 72 minutes, then Dallas opened the scoring as Jason Kreis assisted Damian Alvarez (19), and scored in the 27th minute. Alejandro Farias cut the deficit with a 29th-minute header and Alexi Lalas equalized with a 65th-minute header off an Imad Baba pass.

(Revolution lore: Lalas had urged management to select Kreis in the initial MLS Draft in 1996, but Kreis went to the Burn).

Walter Zenga made three saves in the post-match shootout. Baba and current BU assistant coach Francis Okaroh converted for the Revolution and future Revolution assistant Tom Soehn scored for the Burn.
