Dec. 9, 2008 – Revolution defender Michael Parkhurst joins FC Nordsjaelland on free transfer

Post by

Michael Parkhurst set standards as a central defender in four seasons with the Revolution. Parkhurst’s ability to command the back line allowed coach Steve Nicol to switch to a 3-5-2 alignment that keyed the team’s success from 2005-08. Parkhurst went on to play in the Champions League and Europa League, returning to MLS to perform for the Columbus Crew and captain Atlanta United’s 2018 MLS Cup-winning team.
