April 5, 1924 – Worcester 0:8 Fleisher Yarn (Philadelphia) at Balmoral Park, Andover, Mass.

“Fleischer Yarn … has seven full-fledged citizens on its roster and after seeing the team swamp the Worcester Rangers, New England amateur champs, eight goals to none, at Shawsheen Village Saturday, it seems quite certain that if this Philadelphia team wins the National Amateur Cup and the right to the Olympic games as Uncle Sam’s soccer entry, it will give a good account of itself. … Andy (Stradan) today ranks with the truly great center forwards in this country. He has speed to burn, a fine control of the ball, and when it comes to shooting he is the real William Tell of the Fleischer team.” U.S. citizens included Stradan, Davis, Rudd, Kucklick, who “were all playing. Birdie Wells, another former Boston League player, is on the list of the Fleischer players, and Gilmore and Demko …” (The Boston Globe)
