Post by

Diego Fagundez (b. Feb. 14, 1995 in Montevideo) was a 15-year-old Leominster High School student when he signed with the New England Revolution. Fagundez scored two goals in six games during the 2011 season and became the team’s leading scorer with 13 goals in 31 games in 2013.

Fagundez, who played for U.S. junior teams before it was revealed he had been born in Uruguay, has since performed for Uruguay’s U-20 team. Fagundez ranks tied for fifth with Joe-Max Moore with 41 regular-season goals on the all-time Revolution scoring list. Chris Aduama photo
