Dec. 15, 1930 – Boston SC re-admitted to American Soccer League

Post by

A year after losing their Walpole Street Grounds home field, the Boston SC Wonder Workers briefly ceased operations, then returned to competition in the restructured American Soccer League.

According to The Boston Globe, “Manager Wood makes proposal at meeting at Hotel Commodore in New York.”

The Boston team continued to compete, but the decline of the professional game deprived New England of the teams that had been among the best in the ASL: Boston SC Wonder Workers, Fall River Marksmen, J&P Coats (Pawtucket), New Bedford Whalers, Providence.
